TRW

TRW Automotive Holdings Corp was an American global manufacturer of automotive systems, modules and automotive components, original equipment and spare parts. Originally called TRW inc., the company was created in 2002 when aerospace company Northtop Grumman bought TRW and sold the automotive division to the Blackstone Group.

TRW Automotive was the eighth largest automotive manufacturer in the world and had nearly 64,000 employees in 22 countries. In 2015, TRW Automotive was bought out by ZF Friedrichshafen and renamed ZF TRW Automotive Holdings Corp, and later merged into simply ZF in 2016.

The TRW brand is part of ZF Aftermarket and is a world leader in the production of high-quality original parts. TRW's braking, steering, suspension, commercial vehicle and maintenance products are known for manufacturing quality and innovative design. ZF employs more than 146,000 employees at 230 locations in approximately 40 countries.
