additional water pump for parking heater
In passenger cars equipped with parking heaters (e.g. Webasto, Eberspächer, etc.), an additional water pump is often used. Its purpose and operating principle are related to the engine cooling system and interior heating.

-
purpose:
Coolant circulation : During the operation of the parking heater, the coolant must flow through the engine and heating register so that the heat is distributed evenly. - Cabin heating : an additional water pump helps ensure that heat also reaches the cabin heater, even when the engine is not running and the mechanical water pump has stopped.
- engine warming : some parking heaters also warm the engine to make starting easier in cold weather.
-
location:
It is usually installed on the cooling system water hose, between the parking heater and the engine. In some cases, the pump is integrated directly into the parking heater system.
working principle
Electric pump : The auxiliary water pump is usually electric , operating on a command received from the parking heater control unit.
Activation : When the auxiliary heating is activated, the additional water pump is also activated. The pump circulates the heated coolant through the engine and the passenger compartment heating coil.
continuous operation : the pump runs as long as the auxiliary heating is active to ensure even heat distribution and prevent hot zones.
important features:
Flow rate and pressure : The pump is designed to provide the appropriate flow rate and pressure to move the coolant efficiently throughout the system.
automatic control : modern systems automatically control the pump as needed (e.g. when the coolant temperature rises to the desired level).
Power source : the pump is powered by the car battery, so using the parking heater for a long time can accelerate battery discharge.
problems and maintenance
wearing part : because the pump is electrically powered and circulates fluid, its parts may wear out over time (e.g. motor or seals).
Faults : If the auxiliary water pump is not working, the parking heater may heat inefficiently or not work at all.
Maintenance : Regularly changing the system coolant and checking the condition of the pump will help prevent breakdowns.

Why do wiper blades spoil quickly? Causes and effective solutions with deep cleaning
Rapid wear of wiper blades is a problem that can occur even on brand new cars. If new wiper blades start to streak, leave spots on the glass or start to skip after just a few weeks or months, the fault is usually not with the product itself. Most often, the cause is invisible dirt accumulated on the surface of the windshield or the wipers are working at the wrong angle.
Below is an overview of the main causes and solutions.
