total harmonic distortion ratio (thd) vs. frequency
the all new pdx series amplifiers are not your ordinary class d amplifiers. Class d amplifiers are generally not known for their high frequency performance. these new pdx amplifiers are the first class d amplifiers to break this tradition and leave the previous amplifiers behind. pdx-m12, pdx-m6, pdx-f6 and pdx-f4 are synonymous with extremely high frequency reproduction. thd actually drops at high frequencies, resulting in a clear and clean signal at frequencies where your ear is most sensitive to potential distortion. -<0.005% thd+n @ 1w, <0.05% thd+n @ rated power.

signal to noise ratio
these amplifiers are capable of achieving an unheard of signal to noise (s/n) ratio of up to 95db s/n @ 1w, 122db s/n at rated power, resulting in extremely clean and uncolored sound. forget about unwanted background noise or static. pdx amplifiers always deliver crystal clear music.

damping factor
with their ultra-low output impedance, the new PDXs deliver an extremely controlled, tight bass sound for unprecedented sound quality. figures are >1000 mono and >500 for four channels.

The pdx power supply offers plenty of headroom with low distortion and noise. pdx amplifiers have an extremely high total system efficiency - ~80% (power supply has a figure >90%, output level >90%).

power management processor
The pdx amplifiers feature Alpine's new power management circuitry. power management processor controls all aspects of amplifier operation, monitoring voltage, temperature and output to ensure uninterrupted power output for non-stop listening. if the amplifier gets too hot, a thermal protection circuit kicks in, gradually reducing the output power until the unit cools down. once the device has cooled down, the output power will gradually increase from new back to the previous level. when the circuit detects that the battery is running low, it gradually reduces the output power level as the battery voltage gets too low. as the battery voltage increases, power is also restored. this seamless solution allows you to enjoy non-stop music without interruptions or skips - only clean and clear output sound.

stability at low resistance
these amplifiers are stable at low impedances and all models can operate at their rated power from 2 to 4 ohms. it allows very good flexibility with multiple speaker and subwoofer loads and is automatically adjustable.

flexibility in installation

unique stacking system
the new pdx series amplifiers are 20% thinner than previous models at 2 inches thick. a new stacking system packs the amplifiers tightly together without air gaps, saving space in the car's boot, while the amplifiers' radiators are directly connected to each other to help share the cooling task.

speaker terminals
the super high power speaker connectors allow up to 10mm2 of cabling and their unique quick-disconnect method ensures easy and error-free installation.

power connector
the new removable plug has low losses and high current permeability. the connector fits a cable of up to 25 mm2, which ensures enough current for the amplifier and enables easy installation.

bass control button (rux button)
just add a rux button (sold separately) and you have full control of the bass remote from the dashboard. you can also control multiple amplifiers from just one control unit with simple phone cord adapters.

personalized supplement
The pdx amplifiers come with easy-to-remove trim rings, so if you want to give them a different look, you can simply have them repainted. make it another do-it-yourself project or leave the installation to the pros and contact an authorized alpine installer for assistance. the removable decorative ring can be painted according to the colors of your vehicle or matched with anything you want.
