incredibly strong: expands 3 times into materials, forming an incredibly strong bond
temperature resistant: the bond remains in hot and cold temperatures

1. prepare and moisten the surfaces
if you are using original gorilla glue for the first time or gluing a new type of material, we always recommend trying a test piece first. to open a bottle larger than 2 ounces, cut the tip of the nozzle at the point that rises and begins to recede. the cap is attached to the side of the nozzle.

prepare the surfaces: all surfaces black be clean, dust-free and tightly fitting. for shiny surfaces (such as metal, glass and some plastics), roughen the material so the glue has something to chew on.

moisten: moisten one surface lightly with water. we recommend using a damp cloth or spraying with water. do not saturate the surface. for dense hardwoods, lightly wet both surfaces before gluing.

2. apply gorilla glue evenly to a dry surface
glue: carefully apply to a dry surface. do not over apply. we recommend wearing gloves or spreading the glue with a disposable brush. in some cases, gorilla glue can be a skin sensitizer. if you are prone to skin reactions, take extra precautions.

if the glue gets on the skin, try to remove it first with a dry cloth or paper towel (especially if the glue is still sticky). if that doesn't help, try washing with soap and cold water or using a gritty scrub. dry the skin and apply cream. we do not recommend using alcohol or acetone. this strips the skin of its natural oils, which means the glue is more likely to stick.

3. fasten the two surfaces tightly together
fasten it: make sure that the fastening pressure is evenly distributed over the entire surface. or if you don't have a clamp, use heavy objects or gorilla tape® to achieve proper clamping pressure. for lighter items, try using rubber bands to hold the pieces tightly together. attach the items for 1-2 hours. allow to cure for 24 hours for best results.

4. clean up
if you these to remove uncured "squeezed out" or wet glue, we recommend wiping with a dry cloth or using regular paint thinner. be sure to read and follow the instructions when using paint thinner. always wear gloves. when the glue has dried, it is best to remove it mechanically: try sanding, chiseling, scraping or picking. dried glue will not damage the tools.

5. storage advice
after each use, wipe the bottle cap and nozzle clean with a dry cloth. For 2 oz. bottles, close the cap tightly after wiping clean and store in a cool, dry place. For 4 oz bottles. and larger, we recommend squeezing the excess air out of the bottle. press the cap back on tightly and then store in a cool, dry place. this helps remove moisture from the bottle.
