storch-ciret group: long history, great future1896 is the year it all begins: the entry in the commercial register. At the end of the 19th century, the decorative painters Brueckmann, Boysen and Weber ran a "painting school for decorative wall design" in Elberfeld. The first products sold were copper stencils.
- 1919 Takeover and expansion of Wilhelm Greten. Establishment of a factory for brushes, rollers and painting tools.
- In 1952, Wilhelm Greten's son-in-law, Jr. Rogusch, took over the management of the company.
- In 1976, the majority stake and management of the company was taken over by Horst Rogusch, grandson of Wilhelm Greten.
- In 1978, China became a trading partner, first through imports, then by building its own production and sales facilities.
- In 1991, we built distribution, administrative and production companies in Europe and China – currently 30 in total.
- 1998 entry into the construction market through the takeover of HBG Barteldrees GmbH.
- Number one in Europe in 2011: the merger of Storch Holding GmbH with the internationally active Ciret Holdings AG to form Storch-Ciret Holding GmbH, based in Wuppertal. This makes the Storch-Ciret Group the market leader in painting tools in Europe.
