To clean the bike's transmission, place the bike on a bike stand so the rear wheel can rotate freely while applying WD-40 SP Specialist Bike Degreaser. put an old towel or rag under the chain to catch any leaks.

spray 5-10 inches directly onto the chain where it meets the rear cassette. turn the crank counterclockwise (reverse pedal) while spraying so you cover the entire chain.

let the foaming degreaser stand for 1-2 minutes. you should see grease and dirt starting to drip off the chain. for particularly dirty chains, use a cleaning brush by turning the crank counterclockwise again.
