2023a tire model

the so-called European type winter tire. is not the most suitable for Estonian winter, rather suitable for Central European winter.
goodyear's ultragrip performance 3 winter tire, the successor of ultragrip 9+ and ultragrip performance+, is suitable for use on cars with an internal combustion engine or electric and hybrid drive.
goodyear has developed the ultragrip performance 3 using its snow protect technology to provide increased lamellar density with multiple grip edges to ensure traction. the manufacturer has engineered "snow claws" - longer grooves on the shoulder edge of the tire - to improve performance in soft or deep snow-covered terrain.

in addition to snow protect technology, goodyear has also added wet braking+ technology, which has an optimized circular footprint to improve water dispersion. the technology works by pushing water to the side of the tire rather than the front, reducing the likelihood of hydroplaning. the tire manufacturer has also added 3D sipes to the shoulder area to increase stiffness and performance on dry roads.

to ensure ultragrip performance 3 is electric vehicle ready, goodyear has designed the tire's tread pattern to be noise dampening to reduce interior noise. in the future, it is planned to add goodyear's soundcomfort technology to the product range to further reduce the noise level. the tire tread is also made of a wear-resistant compound to ensure longevity.

Goodyear

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is an American multinational tire manufacturing company founded in 1898 by Frank Seiberling and based in Akron, Ohio. Goodyear manufactures tires for passenger vehicles, aviation, commercial trucks, military and police vehicles, motorcycles, RVs, race cars, and heavy off-road machinery. It also makes bicycle tires, having returned from a break in production between 1976 and 2015. As of 2017, Goodyear is one of the top five tire manufacturers along with Bridgestone (Japan), Michelin (France), Continental (Germany) and MRF (India).

The company was named after American Charles Goodyear (1800–1860), inventor of vulcanized rubber. The first Goodyear tires became popular because they were easily detachable and required little maintenance.

The company is the sole tire supplier for NASCAR series and the most successful tire supplier in Formula One history, with more starts, wins, and constructors' championships than any other tire supplier.

Goodyear was the first global tire manufacturer to enter China when it invested in a tire manufacturing plant in Dalian in 1994.
