Nokian Tyres Powerproof 1 is equipped with Dual Zone Safety technology, which ensures precise and controlled handling. The tread design provides a large contact patch with the road, allowing the driver to feel how the tire grips, adapts to the surface and responds instantly to the steering wheel. The logical and stable handling is complemented by excellent wet performance, increased wear resistance and low rolling resistance.

When a tire comes into contact with more water than it can disperse, aquaplaning occurs. To maximize aquaplaning resistance, the Powerproof 1's shoulder areas are equipped with water flow-optimized trumpet grooves that accelerate water evacuation. The trapezoidal flow grooves also effectively prevent aquaplaning by retaining water and forcing it between the tire and the road surface.
