“New summer treads with very good safety margins when aquaplaning, good steering precision and stable lateral guidance on a dry track, short braking distances in both wet and dry conditions, high mileage", these are just some of the qualities attributed to the FALKEN ZIEX ZE310 ECORUN which have been confirmed by the editors of the big Autobild Summer Tyres Test 2018, who have awarded it the prestigious title of 'exemplary'.
The ZIEX ZE310 ECORUN was able to score particularly highly in the 'Aquaplaning' (fourth place) and 'Corner Aquaplaning' (third place) categories, as well as in mileage. Here, the FALKEN's new entrant received the mark of '1-' (≈91-94%) in each category. It received a '2+' (≈86-90%) in wet and dry braking, in dry handling, ride comfort and in pass-by noise. It also received a '2+' for its cost-performance ratio: with a mileage of 5.40 per 100 kilometres, the FALKEN tyres were able to stand their ground in the top ten of this category.
The ZIEX ZE310 ECORUN, first launched in autumn 2017, is aimed towards those sporty drivers who don't want to compromise on comfort. The tyre is available for 70-40 series in 40 dimensions, from 14 to 18 inches, and is displayed with the speed symbol H, V, W. An additional 58 sizes are to follow in the course of the year. “We are very pleased to have won the prestigious title of 'exemplary' in such a high-ranking environment," said Markus Bögner, Managing Director and COO of Falken Tyre Europe GmbH of the test. “It shows that our applied technology in tyre production, plus the future-oriented mix of materials, have paid for themselves once again." The editors of Autobild tested twenty finalists from 51 tyres with dimensions 195/65 R15 91V, with a SEAT Leon as their test car.
