Koninklijke Philips Electronics N.V. (brand name Philips) is a multinational Dutch electronics company.
Philips is one of the world's largest electronics companies. In 2010, the company's turnover was 25.42 billion euros. The company has 119,000 employees from more than 60 countries.

Philips is divided into several sectors: Philips Consumer Lifestyle (formerly Philips Consumer Electronics and Philips Domestic Appliances Personal Care), Philips Lighting and Philips Healthcare (formerly Philips Medical Systems).

Philips was founded in 1891 by Gerard Philips and his father as a family business. As a banker in Zaltbommel, Frederik Philips financed the purchase and adaptation of an empty, modest factory building in Eindhoven in 1892. There, Philips started producing light bulbs with carbon filaments and other electrotechnical products.

The Philips product range today includes televisions, Blu-Ray players, DVD players, VCRs and audio systems, car stereo systems (car stereos, car speakers, car amplifiers, car cd and dvd players, etc.). Philips car bulbs, both xenon and halogen, and Philips car LED daytime running lights are very well known. Well-known Philips car bulb series are Philips BlueVision, Philips X-treme Vision +100%, Philips Vision Plus +60%, Philips Blue Vision Ultra +30% and others.
