SMART CHARGER 2  is an electronic charger for charging 6 and 12 volt batteries:

The rectifier has  a microprocessor control system , the entire charging process is fully automatic. Once fully charged, the device will activate the maintenance function and automatically resume charging after the battery voltage drops.

Charging process
The 7-step charging process  ensures optimal battery charging conditions. The automatic control system will adjust each of the 7 charging stages to properly charge the battery:

STEP 1 - Diagnostics - analyzes the battery and checks whether it can accept the charging current, prevents charging of a damaged battery
STEP 2 -  Pre-charging - low voltage batteries are pre-charged with a low current, which ensures longer battery life
STAGE 3 - Soft start - the rectifier gradually increases the charging current after reaching full charging current
STEP 4 - CC1, CC2, CC3 (Constant Current) - fast charging. The charging current is set automatically depending on the battery charge status
STEP 5 - CV (Constant Voltage - charging with constant voltage) - charging to a voltage of 14.6V. Designed to charge almost fully charged batteries. It will finish charging the battery once it reaches 14.6V
STEP 6 -  Resting  - completion of the charging process when the battery is fully charged
STEP 7 - Restoring - automatic battery monitoring. The charging process will be resumed after the battery voltage drops below 12.8V (for 12V batteries). The charger will restart the charging process starting from stage 1.
Physical parameters
The device is equipped with protection: thermal, against sparks on the pole terminals, against pole short circuit, overload and reverse polarity.

The rectifier housing has a protection class  of IP44.
