what is a grease gun used for?
a grease gun is a common workshop and garage tool used for lubrication. the purpose of a grease gun is to apply lubricant through an orifice to a specific point, usually from a grease cartridge to a grease fitting or nipple. channels behind the grease nipple lead to where lubrication is needed.
manual grease guns are the most common type and are operated by squeezing a handle or pushing a lever, allowing the user to control the force and flow rate. there are two main subtypes:
1. Lever-type: This type of grease gun can dispense approximately 1.28 grams of grease per pump and is ideal for general use.
2. Pistol Grip Type: Designed for one-handed operation, this type delivers approximately 0.86 grams per pump, providing comfort and ease of use.
