OPTIMA® batteries are high performance AGM batteries and are unlike any other battery in the world.

The OPTIMA battery was developed by Denver Gates Rubber Company engineers in the early 70s on behalf of NASA, within the framework of the space program. The requirement was a small size, high starting current, leakage and vibration resistant power source.

YELLOW TOP: Use this when the electrical load is higher than average or when the discharge cycle is longer than a normal engine start, such as vehicles without alternators. This also includes vehicles whose electrical load may exceed the average capacity of the alternator (for example, aftermarket audio systems, GPS, chargers, winches, snowplows, inverters). This can also include vehicles that have a lot of electronics installed at the factory, such as minibuses with power sliding doors and a DVD player, especially if the DVD player is used when the car's engine is not running.


OPTIMA battery is based on spiral technology SPIRACELL technology - registered trademark. The Optima battery consists of 6 cans made of impact-resistant plastic, in which spiral elements are placed. Each element consists of a tightly compressed + and - plate with an electrolyte-impregnated glass fiber separator between them. The elements are connected by intermediate bridges, one of which acts as a fuse in the event of a short circuit. The battery is closed by laser welding with a cover in which spark-proof overpressure valves are located.


Optima YellowTop is designed to fit and forget. Regardless of the conditions, be it humidity, heat, dirt or extreme vibration or regular discharge, uninterrupted power is guaranteed throughout the discharge cycle.
