measurement relative to a reference point
using this function we can make measurements relative to the selected point. this feature is useful when comparing multiple test locations in a car. for example, we select a reference point on the left front door and then make measurements on other parts of the car (first, select the material in the "reference point" option in the menu). in this way measuring e.g. on the roof we get a result of -10um, which means that the roof has a 10um thinner lacquer layer than the left front door. the reference point is not deleted when the meter is switched off.

adaptation to other metals
in addition, this function can be used to program some other sheet metal (other metals). when setting a reference point, it is enough to do it on a clean sheet, and from now on, after choosing the material as a "reference point", we can make measurements on such a sheet.

measurement assistant® function
the function informs the appraiser of the car whether it has undergone body and paint repair. when making measurements, the meter shows through the LED:

-the LED does not light up - the varnish is correct,
-led flashes - second coat of varnish,
-led is on - putty.
it should be noted that the measurement assistant® function is only an aid in the interpretation of measurements, it cannot be the basis for an unequivocal answer to the question of whether the car has undergone bodywork and paint repair. however, many car appraisers don't really know what a given paint thickness means, so the above feature is helpful in that regard.

the calibration-zero function means that the meter measures correctly under all conditions, even after years of use.
you can calibrate the meter before measuring and be sure that the measurements are correct.
the meter has compensation, thanks to which it calibrates automatically, but accurate calibration is always possible using a calibration plate.

pay attention to the meter without calibration plates - on such meters, the measurement error rabbet increases, because the probe wears (frictions) and also affects the aging of the electronic components. therefore, meters worth several thousand zlotys also come with calibration plates and a calibration function.
