modernity
gl-pro-6 series meters are solutions based on modern 32-bit processors. thanks to this, a fast and accurate measurement was obtained using a 12-bit converter.

the meters use an innovative design of the measuring probe, which enables point measurements on ferromagnetic and non-magnetic materials (depending on the version), automatically identifying the tested material and providing information about the type of material on the screen. the survey is completed in a so-called ball.

measurement assistant® function
the function informs the appraiser of the car whether it has undergone bodywork or paintwork.

when taking measurements, the meter gives a signal with a graphic bar and inscriptions:

- green stripe - correct varnish;
-yellow stripe – second varnish layer;
-red strip - putty.

it should be noted that the measurement assistant® function is only intended as an aid in the interpretation of measurements, it cannot be the basis for a clear answer to the question of whether the car has undergone body or paint corrections. however, many car reviewers don't really know what a given paint thickness means, so the above feature is meant to help.

A distinctive feature of gl-pro-6-faz meters
is an automatic detection of whether the ferromagnetic sheet is coated with a zinc layer or not. this is very important when measuring on the car - it becomes clear which body elements were replaced by cheaper, non-galvanized ones. the survey is completely developed by us.

the meter has a calibration function using thickness standards (included in the kit).

paint thickness gauges gl-pro-6-faz have a function that facilitates the detection of zinc layer on steel sheets. this is a useful feature, especially if you are looking for a used car. quite often, the entire body element, e.g. fender, is replaced on cars after collisions. if such an element is new and artistically painted, it is difficult to order whether it is original or replacement by measuring the thickness of the paint alone - the readings may indicate that the element is factory original. equivalent body elements produced by different companies are often not covered with a zinc layer. of course, to distinguish such an element, the rest of the car black be made of galvanized steel, which the meter detects (fezn reading). for example, if we get a zinc indicator on one fender and not on the other, that could mean the element has been replaced.

when measuring on galvanized steel that the meter can detect, fezn information will be displayed on the screen, and fe information will be displayed on the screen when measuring on non-galvanized steel.

the zinc layer black be continuous and properly prepared. the meter may not detect a defective, cracked or broken zinc layer. such a layer usually does not fulfill its anti-corrosion role.

holding function
function allows you to measure and stop it. function hold can be disabled from the menu level.

The meters have two holding function modes:

-hold 1 – stops the measurement on the screen until the probe moves away from the surface;
-hold 2 – pauses the measurement until the next measurement.
when the hold function is off, the meter performs continuous measurement.

sound signal
this is especially useful when the measure-hold function is turned on. after the measurement, the meter informs us of this fact with a short beep. the buzzer can be turned off at the menu level.

meters have an elastically suspended measuring head, which is designed so that when the probe is pressed against the surface under test, it "slides" into the probe body. thanks to this, the measurement becomes more accurate due to a more even pressure on the tested surface. hand vibration is also eliminated.

you can calibrate the meter before measuring and be sure that the measurements are correct.
the meter has compensation, thanks to which it calibrates automatically, but accurate calibration is always possible using a calibration plate.

be careful with meters without calibration plates - on such meters, the measurement error will rabbet increase, as the probe wears out (friction) and is also affected by the aging of the electronic components. therefore, even meters worth several thousand zlotys come with calibration plates and a calibration function.
